About it

Red cough syrup containing a sedating antihistamine and menthol. Adult dose is 10ml four times a day.

Contains diphenhydramine hydrochloride 14mg/5ml, levomenthol 2mg/5ml.

Good to know before you buy

  • Causes drowsiness: do not drive or use machinery if affected, and avoid alcohol.
  • Not for children under 12.
  • Do not take if using, or within 14 days of stopping, an MAOI antidepressant.
  • Maximum 40ml in 24 hours; contains sucrose, glucose, ethanol and the colour Ponceau 4R.
